Print processes.
Please pardon our mess… this page is currently under construction - images will be added shortly to highlight the available print processes. In the meantime, please read about the available print processes below and visit the Wedding Shop to view invitation suites utilizing a variety of print methods.
Flat Printing.
Flat (digital) Printing enables high quality, full-color printing at a lower cost. There is no limit to the number of colors on a piece with digital printing so a 1 color piece costs the same as a multi-color piece. This process is perfect for all aspects of design including typography, photos, and multi-color artwork. Digital printing is ideal for cardstocks, paper, vellum, and envelopes.
Digital white.
Digital White Printing is an eye-catching option to consider for typography and open airy design motifs printed on medium tone to darker stock including envelope addressing. Digital white printing can be combined with metallic ink printing.
Digital Metallic.
Digital Metallic Printing brings a shimmery glimmer to design at a price that is more affordable than Foil Stamping. It looks fabulous as a stand-alone or as an accent to flat print. Digital gold stands out on both white and color stocks while digital silver tends to be most dramatic on medium tone or darker stocks. It is available on cardstock, paper, and vellum.
Foil stamping.
Foil Stamping is an upscale print process that applies metallic foil with the use of heat and copper plates. It comes in a variety of foil colors and can be applied to thicker card stocks, papers, and envelopes. It pairs well with all other print processes as an added pop of drama!
Letterpress.
Letterpress is an age-old, beautiful, timeless process. The process of using custom plates to “imprint” thicker, textured stock creates an elegant and tactile effect. Letterpress is a handmade process that has a softer, vintage feel. Letterpress pieces often have slight variations showing the craft of each beautifully, unique piece. While Letterpress itself provides a beautiful minimalist stand-alone design, it can be paired with all other print processes. Letterpress printing itself typically utilizes one or two colors within the pressed part of the design. The number of colors used will impact the cost of the design.
Embossing/Debossing.
Blind Embossing/Debossing are processes that alter the surface of the stock causing it to raise (emboss) or indent (deboss) without the use of ink or pigment. It is a unique way to draw attention to details on your design such as names, monograms, or logos. Ideally, a thicker stock works best. These processes can be combined with other print processes.
